Church Plant In Brazil
Fort Caroline is an Acts 1:8 Church and is actively involved in our community and around the globe in carrying out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. We are involved in missions "giving" through the North American Mission Board, through the International Mission Board, through the Cooperative Program, through our State Convention, and Local Association. In the 2006 church year Fort Caroline members gave $164,226.00 to missions.
We are also invovled in missions "going" by supporting a new Church-start in Brazil. For two years Fort Caroline Church members have traveled to Brazil to expand the Kingdom of God through partnering with the Igreja Batista Communitaria of Cuiaba. We have committed ourselves as a congregation to financially and personally support this work. Join with us as we reach this world for Christ, one person at a time.
Angel Arms Ministry
Angel Arms is a Ministry of Fort Carolne Baptist Church that partners with the local neonatal intensive care units in hospitals to provide a hand crocheted blanket to the families of those who have lost new born children.
Some of the ladies gather at the church to crochet and to pray for those children and the families that this blanket will touch. It is a small but personal way to let these families know that we care.
Florida Baptist Childrens Home
The Jacksonville location of the Florida Baptist Childrens Home creates a great opportunity for indivdual members and LifeGroups to sponsor a child while they are at the home. Individuals or classes may sponsor a child by contacting

. We are currently sponsoring many children that may or may not have any other sponsors to assist with many of the clothing and personal needs of the children.
You way wonder if you or your class could sponsor a child. We ask for sponsors to commit to sponsor a child for a year or as long as they are at the Children's Home. We also ask that all written communication go through the Florida Baptist Children's Home. If you desire to sponsor a child you will receive the first name of your child, the date of birth of your child, and clothing sizes. However, personal contact with the child will be limited. Children often rely on their sponsors to recieve gifts at Christmas, birthdays and special events. They also rely on sponsor's for starting back to school supplies. I pray that you will consider sponsoring a child.
St. Francis Soup Kitchen
Several times per year many of our church members serve to provide a hot meal at the St Fancis Soup Kitchen in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. Those who volunteer their time often leave Fort Caroline at 8:30 a.m. and will return around 1 p.m. They will feed anywhere from 400-700 persons in a 3 hour period of time. Volunteers will serve in many different areas in that 3 hour timeframe, but most of all they realize that they are the fragrance of Christ to a group of people that Christ died for and are precious to Him.
